I came across the title track of this CD by accident when the YouTube video randomly started playing after another video. I really liked the song, so I listened to another (Hurricane Ridge)…and decided to buy the full CD. I was not expecting such a wonderful discovery. There are absolutely NO duds on this Album…not one! I’ve been listening to it (exclusively) over and over on my way to and from work every day for about 5 weeks now. There are so many good things to say about each song, from the beautifully perfect vocals and harmonizing, to the insanely good fiddle playing and the entirety of the compositions. Even the subtle details (like humming) are a joy to listen to. Each song feels like a short story in a cohesive book in a beloved setting…each different, but thematic and thoroughly enjoyable. I’ve now spent some time listening to some of the older Gothard Sisters stuff, and you can really see how they have grown and totally perfected all aspects of their craft for this CD, even the technical production. I love this, and would love to see them live some day.

Yes I have had this disc since it came out. Wonderful music Always playing it when I can. Have you any ideas to make a CD with you all performing in your wonderful countryside, The ones that have been done on You Tube etc giver a wonderful dimension to your Music Thank you for your positive music

To begin with, I love the way you started the CD with the boldest song everything was so well written, composed and mixed. I read some comments on what favorite song they liked. I have to admit I found something in every song that I found delightfully intriguing. I especially like the Wise One. But there isn't a song on the Dragonfly CD that doesn't make you start tapping your feet and start dancing in your chair. I'm very grateful that I came across your music.

This album is the best thing I have heard all year. You have no idea how much this music helped me to get through what has been a very difficult last few years. The music is joyful but not cheesy, it is so sincere and meaningful. The instrumentals are energizing and imaginative and the lyrical songs with Solana's beautiful, pure vocals are engaging and poetic and have so many different layers of meaning. Get this CD! I got Dragonfly a few days ago & l listen to it at least once a day. My father was a 2nd generation immigrant born in 1893. His parents migrated to the U.S. during the great potato famine. Irish music is in my blood.

Just finished listening through the album, and was very impressed. The arrangements are rich - busy enough to be interesting and engaging but focused enough to not become messy. There is a surprising diversity to the pieces, with different kinds of energy ranging from bouncy trad fiddling to wistful songs and more modern grooves. Very highly recommended!

The Gothard Sisters are one of my favorite bands. Their music so easily evokes feelings - whether it be of camaraderie, adventure, wonder, or just pure happiness. Just try and listen to Wildflower Jigs and not smile! All of their albums are fantastic, but their latest one Dragonfly is arguably their best yet. I also love their shirt - it's high quality, comfortable, and has a great design.

I cannot pick just one favorite. I never tire of the originality of all the titles, themes, lyrics, and music...thanks for sharing your talent.

What a beautiful and fun CD! Songs 'Wise One' and 'Meet Me at Dawn' are uplifting and brings me a sense of love and joy that the Gothard Sisters supply in their music and songwriting. Other songs 'Wildflower Jigs' and 'Hurricane Ridge' brings the feelings of joy and dance, although very difficult to do this while you are driving thru traffic! This has been a wonderful CD to listen to over and over again! Thank you Gothard Sisters.

Cudos to the ladies and all involved in putting this collection together. I had it on "repeat" as soon as I got it, because it's an eclectic variety of vocal and instrumental songs that cover a range of styles. I said "uplifting" because there are tunes that make me wish I could dance and tunes that let me just pause a bit and enjoy the voices and the aura.

I just received the CD and played it continually through 5 times. It is music that is joyful, thoughtful, delightful, meaningful and I am beyond thrilled to have it. Grateful for music/musicians like these!!

The Gothard Sisters one of a very few groups that I look forward to new music from. They have gotten better with each album and Dragonfly is no different. If my vocabulary was a bit bigger I would describe each track, but since I can't I'll just say it's GREAT and leave it at that.

Dragonfly is another great album. I find every song “Classic Gothard Sisters” and I enjoy listening to the entire album. However, two songs do stand out for me: Wise One and Long Road. Lyrics to your song seem to get deeper with each new album. I hope to see you perform songs from this album live someday. I have seen your live shows six times and I miss this aspect of your music. Stay strong and wise; see you down the road.

We've seen this group live and also have several CDs. This CD is our new favorite! It's special that each song is written by one, two or all three sisters. The rhythms and tunes are upbeat and inspiring, and the words are deep and lovely, like poems. Most are related to nature, and all hearken back to Celtic roots. Highly recommended for both adults and children. Put this album on you want to dance, sing, or just feel simple and free again!

I have no doubts this will be the soundtrack to all of my adventures this summer. They really knocked it out of the park with Chasing the Sun, but there are so many wonderful songs on the album to accompany it.

I've been totally blessed being able to follow the sisters evolutionary prossess. From three fiddle foot stomping jig's and reels to original multiple instrumental tracks. Life is good and the sisters help make it so.

Really love the vocal harmonies. You can't help tapping your feet when you hear these beautiful melodies. Once again, the girls have produced a very delightful grouping of lilting Irish folksy songs. Suit back, listen to the melodies, and let your mind wander back to simpler times. It just doesn't get any better than this!

Really love the vocal harmonies. You can't help tapping your feet when you hear these beautiful melodies. Once again, the girls have produced a very delightful grouping of lilting Irish folksy songs. Suit back, listen to the melodies, and let your mind wander back to simpler times. It just doesn't get any better than this!
