I bought Mountain Rose after getting the free download of Auld Lang Syne. Really like the whole album, it has a wide variety of styles and a more raw, folk-y vibe than the sister's other albums. I love the artwork on the CD jacket and booklet inside, too!

Pure pleasure for fans of Celtic-American folk.

Another WONDERFUL album from The Gothard Sisters! All the tracks are fantastic, my personal favorite being “Cat in a Bush.” This album is another must-buy!

When the Gothard Sisters release an album, you are sure not to be deceived and that it will be better than the previous one. Mountain Rose is no exception, it is just exceptional! Once more, the artistic sense and the attention to detail of these girls have worked wonders. Beauty of the melodies, entertaining rhythms, place of each instrument (voices included), improved voice of Solana, delightful original lyrics full of meaning behind their apparent simplicity. The music enchants, entertains and lets dream. The packaging is elegant, with its superb illustrations, especially those of the booklet. All these things have made the album a great product, that I recommend to everyone who loves good music.

The Gothard Sisters are fabulous! I've seen them live and plan on seeing them again. Meanwhile, my wife is learning to play the fiddle and listens to their CD's at home and in the car.

A wonderful listening experience. Mountain Rose is a beautiful flower of music standing out in a Celtic garden, each song a uniquely beautiful petal on that Rose. The instrumental songs provide a solid foundation for the story songs to draw you into a musical world. The original songs wonderfully tell their stories in an engaging way, which unfortunately is a fading art, but The Gothard Sisters truly excel in the story telling art. They blend their voices in wonderful harmonies that you can't help but sing along. If Mountain Rose had been prouduced on vinyl or tape, I would have worn it out already from the amount of playing. A great album, you won't be disappointed. I wish I could give more than only five stars.

This music is so uplifting and wonderful. I really wasn't a big fan of Celtic music, but I now realize it was just the performers of Celtic music I had heard before. The Got hard Sisters warmth, fun, and personality comes through in every song the perform. It doesn't matter if it's live or on one of their CDs. Highly recommended purchasing this.

Irish and Scotch music with a firm classical development fueled by pure joy. Five stars for three sisters whose talent will redefine your view of entertainment. This is one of those CDs you will buy more than once due to burning them out from playing them for days on end on your CD player!
